Knowledge is defined as information about the different types of things of the world. It may be derived from different kinds of books or from observations of man. It can be obtained form watching different phenomenon of the nature. Knowledge should not be mixed with learning. Learning is something else. Learning is only what we are taught is schools and colleges. On the other hand knowledge also includes information obtained form various experiments and observations which are quite independent form study in schools and colleges.

Knowledge does not belong to any specific social class. It is not even a special kind of gift from nature to a particular person. It may belong to the poorest person or a richest person. No amount of wealth can procure knowledge for any one. Knowledge can not be bought from any shop or market. No one can purchase it from money. It is neither God gifted. Knowledge can only be acquired by careful observations, study and may be from some experimental results. In addition to this knowledge can not be destroyed ever. Like beauty or wealth knowledge can never be damaged. Once you have acquired certain knowledge about something it will remain with you till your last day in this world. No one can snatch your knowledge, it’s all yours.

Scientific inventions and discoveries and advancement in technology have added so much to the civilization of the modern world. These all are nothing but results of the knowledge of scientists. The inventions of the steam engine, telegraphy, and the inventions of marine’s compass and the aero plane, all these are the wonders of science and technology based on knowledge. Even the small machinery of daily use like washing machine, vacuum cleaners and refrigerators are all blessings of science based upon knowledge. These have contributed so much to the wealth and power of the world, all are outcomes of knowledge. It could not be possible with any amount of wealth or physical strength. Knowledge alone has rendered these possible.

The power of knowledge is such that a small man equipped with it can over power a man who is rich and physically more powerful but do not have the power of knowledge. Knowledge teaches a person the way to talk to others. A person feels confident if he has the knowledge. He knows that he can handle any situation and can debate on any topic because he has that knowledge.

Knowledge is such a treasure which enlightens the path of life.

Global warming a factor in today’s world that could end up being as fatal as nothing has been before. It might cause disaster of unimaginable and unbelievable magnitude. Humans are not serious enough about this global problem. We seem to delay and delay such programs and ideas which will help us avoid the slow death. We are just not serious enough. Signs are evidently clear for all of us too see.

This is happening for a reason, the reason being global warming. Animals have fled across the globe in order to escape the diversely changing circumstances. The change of diversity is not a positive one to say the least. It is said that animals anticipate danger much before human. May be this is the sign of things to come as we go towards disaster slowly but surely.

The research examined thoroughly about 2000 species moving away from the centre of the earth or the equator as it is termed. An alarming rate has of movement has been discovered. The report says that the species are moving towards relative safety at a rate of 15 feet per day. This rate makes it about a mile every single year. One more very interesting fact is that the animals are also moving towards the higher mountainous areas. This again is to simply avoid heat and warm due to the calamity of global warming.

Compare this to the man kind. We each day are making new and new urban areas away from the natural scenes. The trees are being cut down day in day out. Forests are being run down aggressively all over the world. We are making this world system go wrong. In fact some might say we are trying to disrupt the natural system that has world so far for us with such great and fantastic results.

So it for us to decide now or we may not have that choice ever. It is high time that we start thinking in a more positive manner. Do we want our children’s children to propose or are we just willing to think on the lines of our self promotion and self achievement. The leaders of this world should stop portraying themselves as saviors and should start acting more positively world wide. Animals have taken a lead in this case. We should take lessons from the actions and learn to co exist. Our survival is with the inhabitants of this world. That includes plants and all kinds of wild life. Our survival is by default attached with all these animals and plants. Grow and help grow.
